The 104-acre Fowlers Hollow State Park is on the edge of Tuscarora State Forest. In the late 1800s, the picnic area of the park was the site of a sawmill that supplied lumber products to the forest industry.

In the late 1800s, the picnic area was the site of a sawmill that supplied lumber and bark products to the forest industry. The Perry Lumber Company Railroad left the park to the south and wound its way out toward what is now PA 274 near the Bryner Ranger Station, by New Germantown.

The park can be reached from Blain by turning south from PA 274 at the east end of town, then go one-quarter-mile, turn right over the bridge. The park is also reached off of PA 274 west of New Germantown on Upper Buck Ridge Road.

Picnicking:
Picnic tables and a limited number of fireplaces are available in a wooded setting. The one picnic pavilion may be reserved up to 11 months in advance for a fee. If unreserved, the picnic pavilion is free on a first-come, first-served basis. A large play field is nearby. Call 888-PA-PARKS for reservations.

Fishing:
Fowler Hollow Run traverses the area and provides trout fishing. The stream receives a preseason stocking of brook trout.

Camping: rustic sites
Eighteen campsites are available from the second Friday in April until late December. Twelve campsites are for tents and trailers. Six campsites are for tents only. The campground has picnic tables, fire rings, a water spigot, flush toilets and a sanitary dump station. There are no showers. Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hiking: 6 miles of trails
The area is a trailhead for a variety of hiking trails within and connecting to the trail system of the Tuscarora State Forest. The Tuscarora Big Blue Trail is nearby.
