Elkins Park & Recreation
The Elkins Park & Recreation Commission
provides year round opportunities with their recreation programs and
facilities. The nine acre City Park was deeded to the City in 1893 by
Henry Gassaway Davis and his wife Kate. Located near downtown Elkins,
this park has become the hub of all summer activities. There are
picnic sites, pavilions, horseshoe pits, and a basketball and
volleyball court, along with playground equipment and many other park
amenities.
Parks
Riverbend Park
consists of 19 acres surrounded by the Tygart Valley River. Presently
Riverbend Park has two little league fields, (one lighted) a
regulation soccer field, a jogging and walking trail, a pavilion and
picnic sites. Soon to be built will be a foot bridge over the Tygart
River to connect 37 acres in Glendale, for additional recreational
activities.

houses one of the nicest ball fields in the area. The Robin Harvey
Memorial Baseball field is used heavily from Spring to Fall. This is
