 One of the eastern gateways to the Monongahela
National Forest, this small picnic area offers weary
travelers a beautiful place to stop as they enter
West Virginia. Located approximately 5 miles east of
Bartow, West Virginia, along US Route 250. The
facility is open year round.
Several family sites with tables, grills, and
waste receptacles are offered. One group picnic
shelter serves groups of 25. Two accessible vault
toilets and a non-accessible handpump for water are
available.
Hiking: Smoke Camp Trail, #324, is 1.8 miles in
length and East Fork Trail, #365, is 8.0 miles in
length, are located in the general vicinity.
There are no fees for use of the picnic area.
Sites are on a first come, first served basis.
