Nestled in the heart of West
Virginia, Cedar Creek State Park's 2,483 lush acres
are just 25 miles west of Interstate 79. This
pastoral setting of rolling hills and wide valleys
provides an ideal backdrop for a wide variety of
recreational opportunities from cycling to pleasant
family strolls.
One of the unique aspects of the
campground is the check-in station, a restored log
cabin that was formerly a Gilmer County historical
landmark. Further adding to the charming ambience of
the park, they erected a reconstructed one-room
schoolhouse as a tribute to the early years of
education. They faithfully restored the schoolhouse

potbellied stove. The park offers guided tours.
