Ham ‘N Apple Bagels

Ingredients
- 1/4 - cup butter
- 1/4 - cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 - teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 - Tablespoon water
- 3 - cinnamon raisin bagels, split
- 1 - large tart cooking apple, cored,
cut into 6 rings
- 6 - ounces thinly sliced cooked ham
- 6 - slices (1-ounce each) Deli
American Cheese
Directions
- In a 10-inch skillet, melt butter.
- Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon and
water.
- Cook over medium heat for 2 to 3
minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture just comes to a boil.
- Boil, stirring constantly, 1 minute
and remove from heat.
- Dip cut-side of bagel halves in brown
sugar mixture.
- Place cut-side up onto ungreased
baking sheet and set aside.
- Add apple rings to remaining brown
sugar mixture.
- Cook over medium heat for 2 to 3
minutes, turning once, until apple rings are tender.
Preheat broiler.
- Broil bagel halves 5 to 7 inches from
heat until lightly toasted for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Top each bagel half with 1 apple ring
and 1/6 sliced ham; return to broiler.
- Continue broiling for 1 to 2 minutes
or until heated through.
- Top each with 1 slice cheese; return
to broiler.
- Continue broiling until cheese is
melted for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Serve with a smile.
