California Cheeseburger

Makes 4 sandwiches: Budget $mart $1.98 per servings*

Ingredients

• 4 - hamburger patties (4 ounces each)

• 4 - hamburger buns

• 4 - pats butter

• 8 - teaspoons mayonnaise

• 4 - lettuce leaves

• 4 - slices onion

• 4 - slices tomato

• 4 - slices cheddar or American cheese

Directions

1. Either using a pan or grill, cook the hamburger to desired doneness. 

2. While the burger is cooking, prepare the bun. 

3. On the bottom half, spread the butter.

4. On the top half, spread the mayonnaise. 

5. Place the two halves side by side on the plate. 

6. Next, on the top half, place the lettuce, onion, and tomato.

7. About 1 minute before burger is done, place cheese on the burger and cook unit it melts.

8. When the burger is cooked, place it on the bottom half of the bun.
