Prep Time: 10 min.
Bake time: 3 min.

Ingredients

  • 1 - can (21-ounces) Apple Pie Filling or Topping
  • 1/4 - cup crystallized ginger, finely chopped
  • 1/2 - cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 2 - teaspoon ground pumpkin pie spice
  • 4 - large slices thick sourdough bread
  • 1-1/2 - cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 8 - ounces Brie Cheese, cut into 8 slices

Directions

Preheat broiler.

  1. In a mixing bowl, gently combine apple topping, ginger, pecans and pumpkin pie spice.
  2. Spread mixture equally on bread slices, placing bread on ungreased baking sheet.
  3. Top each equally with shredded cheddar cheese and 2 slices of Brie.
  4. Broil just until cheese bubbles, 1-3 minutes. (Watch carefully.)
  5. Remove from broiler and serve immediately.
