Deli Cheese Chipotle Melt

Chipotle chile peppers add a great flavor to this crowd-pleasing sandwich.

Makes 8 sandwichesSandwich Recipes from AlansKitchen.com

Prep time: 15 min.
Broiling time: 2 min.

Ingredients:

  •    1  (16-ounce) loaf French bread, sliced lengthwise

  • 3/4  cup mayonnaise

  •    1  Tablespoon chopped Chipotle chile peppers in adobo sauce

  •  16  ounces sliced deli turkey breast

  •    8  slices crisply cooked thick smoked bacon

  •    8  (3/4-ounce) slices Deli American Cheese

  •    6  slices tomato

  •    4  lettuce leaves

Directions:

Heat broiler.  Place bread halves onto ungreased baking sheet.

  1. Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat until bread is lightly toasted (1 to 2 minutes).  In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and Chipotle chiles in adobo sauce until well mixed. Spread Chipotle mayonnaise onto toasted-sides of bread.

  2. To assemble sandwiches, layer bottom half of bread with turkey, bacon and cheese.  Broil bottom half only, 4 to 6 inches from heat, until cheese begins to melt (1 to 2 minutes).

  3. Top with tomatoes, lettuce and toasted top half of bread.  Cut into 8 sandwiches.
