Smoked Sausage and Honey Dill Sauce Reuben

Ingredients

  • Honey Dill Sauce

    • 1/2  cup. mayonnaise

    • 1/4  cup. honey mustard

    •    2  teaspoons snipped dill

  •    4  slices dark rye bread

  • 1/3  head of cabbage, shredded finely

  •    1  package (1 pound) smoked sausage (any variety), sliced lengthwise

  •    8  ounces Swiss cheese, sliced

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 F.

  1. In a medium bowl, add the mayonnaise, honey mustard and dill.  Mix to make the Honey Dill Sauce. 

  2. Place the bread slices side by side in a baking dish.  Spread each slice with approximately 1 Tablespoon sauce.  Layer each slice with 1/4 of the cheese, cabbage and sausage. 

  3. Bake for 10 minutes or until warmed through and the cheese has melted.  Serve open-face style.
