Ingredients
  • 1 - can (6-1/ ounces) tuna, drained
  • 1/4 - cup onion, chopped fine
  • 1/4 - cup celery, chopped
  • 2 - Tablespoon mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1/4 - teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 - teaspoon pepper
  • 2 - Tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 4 - English muffins, halved
  • 8 - slices tomato
  • 8 - slices processed American cheese
  • 2 - Tablespoons mayonnaise or salad dressing

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix the tuna, onion, celery, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or salad dressing, salt, and pepper. 

  2. Spread butter or margarine over the muffins and place in broiler and toast.

  3. Spread the tuna mixture on the toasted muffin. 

  4. Place tomato slice on each muffin and top with cheese. 

  5. On the cheese spread the mayonnaise or salad dressing.

  6. Under the broiler, cook for 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese melts and becomes golden brown.
