Burgundy
Makes 5 servings
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: LOW 10 to 12 hrs.
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 pounds cubed beef stew meat
-
1-1/2 cups fresh baby carrots, halved crosswise
-
1 package (10-ounces) fresh pearl onions, peeled

1 package (8-ounces) package small fresh whole mushrooms

1 garlic clove, minced
-
1 bay leaf
-
1 can (10-1/2-ounces) condensed beef consommé
-
1 cup water
-
1/2 cup red burgundy wine
-
Fresh oregano, if desired
Directions:
- In 3-1/2 or 4-quart slow cooker, add
the flour, salt, pepper and beef. You want to mix well.
- Then add the carrots, onions,
mushrooms, garlic, bay leaf, beef consommé, water, and
burgundy.
- Mix well.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 10 to
12 hours or until carrots and beef are tender.
- Garnish with oregano.
