Slow Cooker Swiss Steak I

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Refrigerate: Overnight
Cooking Time: LOW 10 to 12 hours

Directions

The night before serving: 

  1. In a seal-able container, mix the carrots, onion, celery, bell pepper, Picante sauce, ketchup and vinegar. 
  2. Seal and refrigerate. 
  3. Trim fat from beef steaks and cut into 6 pieces. 
  4. Wrap and refrigerate.

In the morning:

  1. Transfer steaks to the slow cooker and top with vegetable mixture. 
  2. Add water. 
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 10 to 11 hours. 
  4. Thicken and add your salt and pepper. 
  5. Serve over cooked pasta.
