Slow Cooker Swiss Steak II

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: LOW 10 to 12 hours or HIGH 3 to 5 hours

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 - pounds round steak (3/4-inch thick), cut into serving pieces
  • 2 to 4 - teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 - teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 - teaspoon pepper
  • 1 - medium onion, sliced
  • 1 - carrot, chopped
  • 1 - celery rib, chopped
  • 1 - can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, add flour, salt, and pepper.  
  2. Dredge meat in seasoned flour.
  3. In slow cooker, add onion on the bottom.  
  4. Add meat.
  5. Top with carrots and celery.
  6. Add canned tomatoes.
  7. Cover and cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours, or HIGH 3 to 5 hours.
  8. Serve over noodles or rice.
