Swiss Steak III

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: LOW 10 to 12 hours

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 - pounds round steak (3/4-inch thick), cut into serving pieces.
  • 2 to 4 - teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 - teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 - teaspoon pepper
  • 1 - pound baby carrots
  • 1 - package onion soup mix
  • 1 - can (8-ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 - cup water

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, add flour, salt, and pepper.  
  2. Dredge meat in seasoned flour.
  3. In slow cooker, add carrots on the bottom.  
  4. Add meat.
  5. In a mixing bowl, add soup mix, tomato sauce and water.  Pour into slow cooker and cover mixture.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours.
  7. Serve with mashed potatoes.
