Classic Barbecue Ribs

Slow Cooker Recipes from AlansKitchen.com Makes 6 servings

Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cooking Time: LOW 7 to 9 hours or HIGH 4 to 6 hours

Directions

  1. In a large sauté pan, add oil.   Bring to a medium heat.  Add onions and garlic.  Sauté until softened and lightly browned.

  2. Stir in the lemon, brown sugar, vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce and chili powder.  Simmer for 5 minutes.  Remove and keep 1/2 barbecue sauce for serving.

  3. Pour barbecue sauce into slow cooker.  Add ribs.  Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours or on HIGH for 4 to 6 hours.

To serve, cut ribs between the bones and use reserved sauce.
