Easy Virginia Chili
Makes 10 to 12 servings
You can serve this chili over cooked rice.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: LOW 7 to 8 hours or HIGH 3 hours
Ingredients
- 1 - pound ground beef

1 - onion, chopped

1 - green bell pepper, chopped

1-1/2 - teaspoon salt
-
1 - Tablespoon chili powder
-
2 - teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
-
1 - can (29 ounces) tomato sauce
-
3 - cans (16 ounces) kidney beans, drained

1 - can (14-1/2 ounces) crushed or stewed tomatoes

1 - can (6 ounces) tomato paste
-
2 - cups cheddar cheese, grated
Directions
- In a skillet, add beef and
brown. Add onion and bell pepper halfway through browning
process.
- Drain.
- To the slow cooker, pour in the ground
beef mixture.
- Add in the salt, chili powder, Worcestershire
sauce, tomato sauce, kidney beans, crushed or stewed tomatoes, and
tomato paste.
- Cover and cook on LOW 7 to 8 hours or
HIGH 3 hours.
- Serve in bowls topped with cheddar
cheese.
