Hot V-8 Chili
Slow Cooker Recipes from AlansKitchen.comMakes 8 servings

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: HIGH 30 minutes and LOW 4 to 6 hours

Ingredients:

  • 2 - pounds ground beef
  • 1 - large onion, chopped
  • 2 - cans (16 ounces) stewed tomatoes
  • 2 - cans (11-1/2 ounces) Hot V-8 juice
  • 4 - cans (15 ounces) pinto beans, drained
  • 1/2 - teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 - teaspoon salt
  • 2 - Tablespoons chili powder
  • Garnish
    • sour cream
    • green onions, chopped
    • Cheddar cheese, shredded
    • ripe olives, sliced

Directions:

  1. In a skillet, add beef and brown.  Add onion halfway through browning process.
  2. Drain.
  3. To the slow cooker, pour in the ground beef mixture.
  4. Add in stewed tomatoes, Hot V-8 juice, pinto beans, cayenne pepper, salt, and chili powder.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW 4 to 5 hours.
  6. Garnish with: sour cream, green onions, Cheddar cheese, and ripe olives
