Beef Stew II

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: LOW 4 to 6 hours or HIGH  2 to 3 hours

Ingredients

  • 1/2 - cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 - teaspoon salt
  • 1 - teaspoon pepper
  • 4 - pounds beef chuck, cubed
  • 4 - Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 - onions, sliced
  • 1 - cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 - cup fresh parsley, minced
  • 6 - teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 4 - bay leaves
  • 2 - cups red or white wine
  • 1 - cup beef broth

Directions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, you want to add the flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. Dredge beef in flour mixture and add to a frying pan with olive oil at medium heat.
  3. Sear beef on all sides.
  4. Add browned beef to slow cooker.
  5. Add your onions, mushrooms, parsley, garlic, bay leaves, wine and broth.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours or on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours.
