Slow Cooker Classic Boston Baked Beans
Makes 8 servings
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time (Beans): LOW 3 hours
Cooking Time (Mixed): LOW 10 to 12 hours or HIGH 6 to 8 hours
Ingredients

2 - pound dried small white beans

12 - cups water
-
Olive oil
-
1/4 - cup salt pork or thick sliced bacon, chopped into small pieces

2 - teaspoons salt
-
1 - cup molasses
-
2 - Tablespoons dry mustard

1/2 - cup dark brown sugar

1/2 - cup onions, chopped
Directions

Soak beans at least 8 hours or
overnight.

Place soaked beans in slow cooker.

Cover and cook on LOW for 3 hours.

Drain liquid, keeping
1-cup.

Keep beans in slow cooker.

Add oil to sauté pan and brown pork
or bacon.

Add 1-cup of liquid, salt, molasses,
mustard, brown sugar, and onions.

Cook for 10 minutes.

Add mixture into beans in slow cooker.
-
Cover and cook on LOW for 10 to 12
hours or on HIGH for 6 to 8 hours.
