Sauté
Flank Steak
Makes 4 to 6 servings
Prep Time: 15 min.
Cooking Time: 25 min.
Ingredients:
- 1 - medium onion (chopped)
- 2 - Tablespoons butter
- 1 - medium flank steak (sliced
on the bias into 1/2-inch strips
- Flour
- 1 - teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 - Tablespoon vinegar
- 1 - teaspoon salt
- 1 - teaspoon paprika
- Dash cayenne
- 2 - cups water
Directions:
- In a heavy skillet, sauté the
onion in the butter.
- Dredge the steak slices in the
flour fry them quickly in the same skillet, remove and set
aside.
- Add to the same skillet, 1 Tablespoon
flour, mustard, vinegar, salt, paprika, and cayenne.
- Stir, add the water, and stir
again.
- Add the meat slices to the
sauce, cover and simmer about 15 minutes.
