Apple and Chocolate Chip Cake

Baking Time: 1 hr.

Ingredients:

• 3 - eggs
• 1 - cup oil
• 1 - teaspoon salt
• 4 - apples (peeled and chopped)
• 2 - cups all-purpose flour
• 1 - cup sugar
• 1 - teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 - teaspoon baking powder
• 1 - teaspoon baking soda
• 1 - cup mixed nuts (chopped)
• 1 - package chocolate chips (reserve 1/4-cup)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease and flour 9x13-baking pan.

1. In a mixing bowl, combine, eggs, oil, salt, apples, flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, nuts, and chocolate chips.  Mix well.
2. Pour batter into baking pan.
3. Sprinkle a reserved chips over the top of the cake.
4. Bake for 1 hour.
5. Allow to cool and serve.
