Roasted
Whole Spareribs
Makes 8 servings
Prep Time: 15 min.
Cooking Time: 1 hr. 30 min.
Ingredients:
- 1 - whole sparerib (both
sides of pork)
- 1 - teaspoon salt
- 1/2 - teaspoon pepper
- 3 - Tablespoons bacon fat
- 3 - Tablespoons brown sugar
- 8 - large sweet potatoes
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300° F.
- You want to rub the sparerib
with slat, pepper, and bacon fat.
- Put on a cookie sheet (or
other large pan with an edge). Bake for 1 hour.
- Sprinkle with brown
sugar. Cook 30 minutes or longer (depending on the
size of the ribs) or until tender.
- Cut into individual rib
servings.
- Serve with sweet potatoes
(baked the last hour of cooking).
