Grilled San Antonio Burgers
Makes 6 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 - pounds ground beef

  • 1/2 - cup steak sauce, divided

  • 1/3 - cup onion, chopped

  • 1/3 - cup green chilies, chopped

  • 6 - hamburger buns, split

  • Guacamole

  • Monterey jack or cheddar cheese, shredded

  • Tomato, chopped

Directions:

Preheat grill to medium heat.

  1. In a mixing bowl, add ground beef, 1/4 cup of the steak sauce, onion and chilies. 

  2. Shape mixture into 6 patties.

  3. Grill patties over medium coals for 7 to 9 minutes on each side or until cooked through. 

  4. Occasionally brushing patties with remaining 1/4-cup steak sauce.

  5. Serve in buns topped with guacamole, cheese and tomato.
