Baked Lima Beans

Baking Time: 30 min
Ingredients:
- 2 cups dried lima
beans
- 1 small onion,
chopped
- 1 green pepper,
chopped
- 2 Tablespoon butter
- 2 cup cooked
tomatoes, strained
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
- 1 teaspoon
Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup grated
American cheese
Directions:
- Soak dried lima beans in water overnight,
cook 1 hour or until tender, and drain.
- Sauté the onion and pepper in butter until
tender.
- Add the tomatoes, and simmer 10 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Add the beans and seasonings, place with
the cheese in alternate layers into a buttered casserole, and
bake 20 to 30 minutes.
