Roy Barcroft (Howard Clifford Ravenscroft) was an American
character actor famous for playing villains in B-Westerns and other
genres. Noted film critic Leonard Maltin acclaimed Barcroft as
"Republic Pictures' number one bad guy".
He was in at least 289 Western movies and over 35 TV shows, usually
playing a bad guy.
Death: November 28, 1969 (age 67)
Barcroft died of kidney cancer at the Motion Picture Country
Hospital.
