from the University of Washington. In the TV Western “The Alaskans”, I
played Rocky Shaw a singer who went to the Gold Rush to find my fame and
fortune. The show lasted one season. I did another series for Warner
Brothers called “The Roaring Twenties.” I married director Robert Day
and retired from show business to raise our children. Who am I?
2) I called Little Rock, Arkansas home
when I was born there on October 5, 1925. Then I was known as Betty Jeanne
Grayson. In 1946, I headed to Hollywood and became a leading lady in many
of Gene Autry’s movies. He planned to produce a series about a famous
