Supreme Green Beans

Makes 6 servings. Side Dish Recipes from AlansKitchen.com

Prep Time: 10 min.
Cooking Time: 15 min.

Ingredients:

  • 1 - pound fresh, whole green beans

  • 1 - Tablespoon butter

  • 1/2 - cup red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 - Tablespoon salad supreme seasoning

Directions:

  1. Trim and discard the tips of the beans.  Wash green beans.  Blanch the beans in boiling water for 3 minutes. 

  2. Drain immediately and rinse with cold tap water.  Set aside.

  3. In large skillet over medium-high heat, add butter and melt.  Next, add the onions and cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until tender. Add green beans and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly.  Toss Salad Seasoning with vegetables and serve hot.

Picnicking & Tailgating

You want to make this recipe a day or two ahead.  Just heat and place in thermos or thermal containers and head to the picnic or tailgate site.  Just serve out of the thermal container or pour from the thermos.
